Contract Solution Ensat

With a self-tapping screw insert, it automatically taps itself by being screwed into the pilot hole.

It can be installed seamlessly with a very high load capacity. There are two types available: one with a groove and one with three holes, providing various screw inserts according to the required fixing method. 【Features】 ■ It can be installed mainly in soft metals and alloys (such as aluminum, magnesium, zinc), plastics, and wood. ■ Thin-walled inserts are ideal for limited spaces, and they can also be screwed in by machine. ■ Tapping before insertion is unnecessary; as long as a pilot hole is processed in the base material, it can be directly embedded.

[Technical Column] Correct Design Method for Screw Inserts

By knowing the correct design methods, you can prevent damage in advance and avoid the risks that come with burden.

A screw insert is a component that is embedded in buildings, structures, and equipment. Among them, there is a type called a wire insert, which is a part that can reinforce and repair internal threads. However, if a wire insert is used incorrectly, it can become difficult to insert, and in some cases, even with the wire insert in place, it may lead to damage of the internal threads. Here, we will explain the "correct design method for wire inserts." *For detailed content of the column, you can view it through the related links. Screw insert "Helicoil" thread insert series

Helicoils, which are often incorporated into design specifications. By embedding them into the base material, they enhance thread strength and enable repeated use!

"Helicoil" is the original "screw insert" that was born in the United States in the 1930s. We offer two types. ■ Tanged Thread Insert The tanged thread insert provides a permanent and wear-resistant screw thread, eliminating the need for cutting and removal of the tang. It also features a "screw lock" mechanism that prevents loosening under vibration or impact. ■ Tangless Thread Insert The tangless thread insert provides self-locking torque to male components through one or more insert coils. Using a tangless thread insert ensures that no loose tangs remain, making it a solution for critical applications where foreign object debris (FOD) is not present. There is no need for cutting or retrieving the tang, and it can be easily adjusted or removed after installation. In situations where lightweight and strength are required, such as in precision instruments and aerospace components, it reinforces the "weakness of the screw threads" that is a drawback of plastics and aluminum. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
